Andie + David Invite

October 25th, 2011

Creating my best friend’s wedding stationery was not only an incredible honor, but it also allowed me to play around with different mediums, textures and formats.

A painting by the groom of Audubon Park in New Orleans was printed on the outside of the gatefold invitation. Inside, the letterpressed invitation, RSVP postcard, details cards and schedule of events timeline were neatly held in place by purple paper wraps.

This invitation was SO fun to create. And the wedding was intimate and special and perfect for Andie and David. Think: mint juleps, a gospel choir, authentic New Orleans food, dancing and a surprise brass band performance … yes, it was the best time:)

Les

It’s been a little crazy over here painting, gluing, designing and planning our blingin’ booth for the 2011 Wedding Essentials Idea Show THIS WEEKEND! Here’s a sneak peek of what we’ve been up to. Think: pinks, teals, sparkle and–of course–new stationery designs + lots of letterpress love. Hope to see you there!

Lauren + Daniel Invite

October 10th, 2011

Daniel and I had the privilege of working with Lesley on our own wedding stationery and she blew us away with these custom invitations. We got married in rural Coon Rapids Iowa. These beautiful letterpressed invitations set the tone for the event and helped bring elegance to the country-barn wedding theme.

The handmade pockets were sewn out of various fabrics and patterns that were mixed and matched

The fabric pocket was a major inspiration for the rest of our decor decisions! I tied pieces of leftover fabric from the invitations mixed with new patterns to create these streamers for the dinner area. They looked so pretty blowing in the breeze.

Needless to say, we couldn’t have been happier with the day or our beautiful invitations:)
